On an international level, the licorice extract has a French label : Extraits Végétaux et Dérivés (EVD). EVD, located in the south of France and a subsidiary of Mafco Worldwide LLC, produces and transforms for more than 50 years licorice extracts in all its forms : powder, block, liquid, semi fluid, glycyrrhizine and derivative products.

EVD has a research lab exclusively dedicated to the creation and production of specific formulations, capable of supplying a solution to a wide variety of customer needs and applications.

EVD built its reputation by requiring rigourous and constant quality standards thanks to long term partnerships with licorice producers all over the world, and to its extreme discipline in the selection of raw material and in the production of licorice extracts. We pay utmost attention to production procedures which guarantees a superior quality over time.

Thus EVD has adopted a quality and HACCP approach since 1997, to meet the requirements of its customers and ensures comprehensive regulatory monitoring. EVD is today certified according to the FSSC 22000 standard: version 3 2013 (food safety system Certification) recognized by GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) at the international level to ensure an optimal level of food safety in manufacturing and packaging of licorice extracts and licorice derivatives based products in powder and liquid form..

EVD carries out systematic physio chemical and bacteriological analyses upon receipt of the raw materials, stock, production and each batch of finished products. Our constant quality requires controls at the highest level.
